TradeMentory (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the website tradementory.com and the TradeMentory application (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Service.
By using TradeMentory, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name (optional)
- Authentication credentials (managed securely via Supabase Auth)
Trade Data
When you import or enter trades, we collect:
- Trade records including symbol, direction, entry/exit price, P&L, and timestamps
- Broker CSV file contents uploaded during import
- Annotations you add to trades: strategy, session, emotional state, setup grade, entry/exit logic, rule violations, and notes
Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- Pages visited and features used within the application
- AI Coach analysis requests and timestamps
- Browser type, device type, and approximate location (country level only)
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details. We receive confirmation of payment status and your subscription plan from Stripe.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Provide and operate the TradeMentory Service
- Generate AI coaching analysis using your trade data and annotations
- Display your performance statistics and coaching reports
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
- Improve the accuracy and relevance of AI coaching outputs
- Comply with legal obligations
AI Processing
Your trade data and annotations are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate coaching reports. This data is processed solely to produce your coaching output. We do not use your trade data to train AI models, and Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models by default.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), a secure cloud database with:
- Row-level security: only you can access your own trade data
- Encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) for all data in transit
- Data stored in the United States
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties.
We share data only with the following service providers who help us operate the Service:
- Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com)
- Anthropic — AI coaching generation via Claude API (anthropic.com)
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com)
- Vercel — hosting and deployment (vercel.com)
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics (google.com/analytics)
Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and data processing terms.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your trade data at any time from the application
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing

7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your trade data, coaching reports, and personal information within 30 days. Aggregate, anonymised analytics data may be retained longer.
8. Cookies
TradeMentory uses:
- Essential cookies — required for authentication and session management
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, to understand how users navigate the product (can be opted out via browser settings)
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
TradeMentory is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
